Nettlestar looked up sharply. Surely Hawkfire didn't mean that?
She relaxed a few seconds later, and scolded herself for her foolishness. I know Hawkfire would never have killed a young cat, not in cold blood. I think...I think something's wrong with my reasoning when it comes to Snake...
"I agree. And after all, ShadowClan can't complain; we were only chasing him off out territory." Nettlestar meowed before turning to Snake. "Do you understand, kit?"
The word 'kit' had just been used to make Snake angry, but she felt...worried now, and almost opened her mouth to tell him to be careful. He was just so young, and so jaded, and so wrong, and....she really needed to stop being concerned about him. He was an enemy, and she was the leader of her clan. She couldn't help him, in any way.
Somehow, that made her sadder than she thought it would.

Snake struggled still under Hawkfire's paw. "Shadowclan, Thunderclan- it makes no difference! I will fight, and I will kill. Mark my words, clankitty- scent markers shall not stop me."
Hawkfire pressed down a little harder. "Oh yeah? Well may be tooth and claw will- now skidatle while the skidatling is good!" Then he lifted his paw, and Snake shot away, Hawkfire close behind to make sure he didn't stay on their territory.

Nettlestar watched Snake run off, feeling confused. She wanted to ask Hawkfire to go make sure he was alright, but she knew she should just ask him to make sure that Snake was out of their territory. In the end, she compromised.
"Would you watch him for a while, Hawkfire?" she asked as he left, she voice oddly soft.
Nettlestar stayed for a few seconds longer before going back to camp, her face turning sadder with each step she took.
OOC: Lets start another thread somewhere...
